If you’ve gotten this far, you probably know that participating in medical research is important to be competitive in residency applications. At ReSearch, we know that connecting with researchers, and finding projects matching your interests and career goals can feel impossible. Looking for research opportunities is time consuming, and connecting with PIs is a whole other can of worms. Oftentimes email addresses are invalid, or project databases are restricted to students of a specific school. If you’ve encountered any of these difficulties, you’ve come to the right place.
Realizing the shared struggles of many medical students inspired the creation of this initiative; ReSearch. At ReSearch, we aim to reduce barriers students face when obtaining research positions, with a streamlined pairing of students with research projects. ReSearch will expose you to projects across Canada, allowing you to explore projects and connections beyond your medical school. We hope this will serve as a networking opportunity, helping to prepare you to prepare residency.
Websites catering to the research needs of Canadian medical students are non-existent. We are proud to be made by medical students, for medical students.
